Yomogi Mochi



Yomogi mochi is a traditional Japanese sweet which is also called "Kusa Mochi".
It is a mochi (glutinous rice cake) flavored with Japanese mugwort.
Usually it is stuffed with sweet red bean paste.
Yomogi is a Japanese herb.
It has a nice fresh fragrance.

Love Kusa Mochi! I have only had packaged ones, though, never made at home or in a restaurant. Maybe soon. Thanks, Nobu!

DELICIOUS... Did you make it? If you did, can you please share the recipe? I have been wanting to try and make mochi.. I have mochiko and some hawaiian recipes but have not really ventured into making it, I am too scared... I can just taste the azuki while looking at the picture..delicious!

Hello Ayie, Yomogi has bitter taste, but it's fresh flaver makes red beans paste more sweet.
