Yakitori is a grilled skewered chicken.
Usually, bite size chicken are skewered on wooden skewer, and grilled over hot charcoals.
Usually we can choose served with salt or Tare (sauce), when we order yakitori.
Tare is a sause which is made from sake (rice wine), mirin, soy sauce, sugar, and so on.
Detail of Tare is a top secret of yakitori shop.

I love the chicken and green onion picture. It looks so moist and delicious! I have not had liver since I was a child. I wasn't a big fan of it then, but I may like it now. I will have to give it a try one of these days.

All look good to eat except the chicken skin one. The grilled chicken with green onion would be my favorite.
When I was there all of this grilling was done on the hibachi. They used them to cook on and to heat the houses with. Lots of bad headaches from the carbon monoxide for us as we were not used to it.
